NatPower Group | NatPower Italia wins the tender for the development of a 33 MW hydroelectric power plant in Kazakhstan: investment value EUR 40 million.

The Italian branch of NatPower – an independent developer for renewable energy projects with a pipeline of more than 23GW worldwide – announces that, through the company “Zharyk Su”, it has been awarded the tender called by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the development of a hydroelectric power plant on the Bartogai reservoir, located in the Shelek River in the Almaty region.

NatPower Marine | We announced our plans to establish a £3 billion global network of 120 “clean ports” by 2030, enabling ship operators and cargo owners to plan clean shipping routes.

As part of this plan, NatPower Marine announced a new collaboration with Peel Ports Group, investing £100 million across all eight of their UK and Irish ports to develop commercial electric ship charging infrastructure, creating the first "green shipping corridor" between the UK and Ireland.

NatPower H, the world’s leading developer for the production, storage and distribution of green hydrogen and part of the NatPower Group, and Bluegame, an Italian excellence in boat building and member of the Sanlorenzo Group, have announced the completion of Italy’s first hydrogen refuelling for marine use, and one of the first in the world. On 17 December, we held our annual All Hands Meeting in Milan where we reviewed the results achieved in 2024 and discussed the outlook for 2025. Each business unit presented the experience lived in the last year, the successes, the challenges and future vision of their own business.

The meeting was filled with energy and enthusiasm, showcasing the the strength of our team and our collective capacity to innovate and grow together.

Below is a brief comment from Almanio Romano, our Managing Director and Group CFO.

“The year 2024 was carachterized by significant change, presenting both opportunities and challenges.

In 2024, we welcomed Vinci SA as new shareholder. Following the substantial investment made by Vinci in NatPower, we massively invested in our four core countries (Italy, UK, US, and Kazakhstan), thereby increasing the value of our assets worldwide.

However, I still consider 2024 to be the foundation for 2025. The investments made in 2024, both in financial terms and in terms of personal and professional commitment, will yield significant returns in 2025.

From the implementation of investment platforms in Italy and the UK, to the pipeline consolidation in the US, to the sale of the Bartogai Hydro Power Plant project in Kazakhstan and the investment roadshow of NatPower H and NatPower Marine, I can confirm that 2025 will be another extraordinary year for our group mainly thanks to our international team of talented professional.

Finally, I’d like to sincerely thank each of you for your dedication. Together, we are NatPower.

NatPower Group | Valsamoggia photovoltaic project

We celebrated the Valsamoggia photovoltaic project, a shining example of efficiency.

With a capacity of 8.7 MW, this plant is not only an important contribution to the country's energy transition, but also a testimony to NatPower's extraordinary operational capacity.

What makes the project particularly remarkable is the speed with which the approval process was completed in just six months - an exceptional achievement in the Italian context, where approval times are typically much longer. This achievement underlines the effectiveness of the NatPower method and the competence of our team.

Valsamoggia's success is the result of work carried out entirely in-house by NatPower, which managed every stage of the project: from the initial idea, through the technical design, to the completion of the approval process.

A new, extraordinary milestone has been reached with the approval of the EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) by the MASE (Italian Ministry for the Environment and Energy Security) for two ambitious photovoltaic projects: Vatt Energy with 80 MW and Mell Power with 126 MW.

Under the expert guidance of Stefano Ciccarelli, who has followed the projects from the beginning, this journey has required extraordinary dedication and constant commitment.

The achievement of this important goal shows how the experience, professionalism and commitment of the NatPower team can be translated into concrete results.

The positive EIA opinion is an important milestone for both projects, which are expected to reach Ready to Build status in the first half of 2025.

With a total capacity of 206 MW, these initiatives not only enrich NatPower's portfolio, but also represent a decisive step towards the country's decarbonisation goals.

NatPower H participated in the 3rd Edition of the Monaco Hydrogen Forum on December 2nd-3rd, 2024, at the Hotel Hermitage, Monaco. This prestigious event brought together top industry leaders, with Nat Power H’s CEO, Andrea Minerdo, speaking as a panelist in the session "Ports & Airports: The Future of Hydrogen Hubs."

We’re also honored to have been finalists for the Monaco Prize for Innovation in Renewable Hydrogen and Transportation, recognizing pioneers in clean hydrogen mobility.

We’ve officially submitted the planning proposal for the Bellmoor Energy Storage Project in South Kilvington, North Yorkshire 1GW, 4-hour battery storage facility set to enhance grid resilience and accelerate the UK’s energy transition.

148% Biodiversity Net Gain: Half the site dedicated to nature, with wetlands, trees, and bird nesting sites.
Community Investment: Up to £1 million annually into local initiatives through the Community Energy Transition Foundation.
Vibrant Community Spaces: Outdoor learning areas, picnic spots, and park benches for all.

The proposal reflects community feedback to ensure the project benefits both energy and local residents.

NatPower H | PIRATES: new team, new ambitions!

On Saturday 18 January, the official presentation of the Pirates1984, the team sponsored by NatPower H, took place at the Albissola Golf Club.

The event highlighted the support of NatPower H, represented by its main leaders: Fabrizio Zago, Andrea Minerdo (CEO of NatPower H) and Giorgio Pupillo (CEO of NatPower Italia & SPV Director). They expressed their enthusiasm and commitment to support the team ahead of the start of the season on 15 February in Florence.

The rebranding, reflecting a renewed vision, is combined with the arrival of international talent that will infuse the team with new energy and expertise.

NatPower UK | NatPower UK receives up to £60m of funding from Kommunalkredit to develop GigaParks of battery storage

We’re excited to announce that we have secured a market-shaping deal of up to £60m with Kommunalkredit Austria AG, a leading European infrastructure bank.

This financing will accelerate the development of our UK GigaParks projects, taking our 100GWh battery portfolio, including long-duration energy storage, through to construction.

As we move toward a cleaner, more sustainable energy grid, this step is a milestone in battery storage development in the UK. Batteries are essential to our energy transition, storing renewable energy, reducing our reliance on imported gas, and driving down energy costs.

NatPower Group | A step forward in digital transformation: successful implementation of SAP S/4HANA

We have reached a strategic milestone in our digital transformation journey: the implementation of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud (Grow), a cloud-based ERP solution that supports our international growth and optimises operational excellence.

In just 4 months, the new system was successfully deployed across 125 legal entities in 4 countries, enabling greater scalability, process automation and more effective decision-making through real-time data. This transformation marks a significant step forward, increasing our operational efficiency and agility to respond to the challenges of an ever-evolving global marketplace.

A project of this magnitude has been made possible by the collaboration and dedication of an international team that has led the implementation with expertise and determination.
