NatPower H debuts at the Salone Nautico in Venice with its green hydrogen revolution for the yachting sector

NatPower H, a leading developer of hydrogen refuelling stations for recreational boating, will be at Salone Nautico in Venice as a technical partner with a multimedia stand and fully hydrogen-powered vessel.

13th May 2024 – NatPower H – the world’s leading developer for the production, storage and distribution of green hydrogen and part of the NatPower Group – will be attending the 5th Salone Nautico in Venice taking place from 29 May to 2 June.

Boating and sustainability enthusiasts will be able to explore NatPower H’s revolutionary project at the company stand in the exhibition area. Interactive digital displays will guide guests along a multisensory path, explaining the value of hydrogen as an energy carrier for the yachting sector, offering a detailed presentation of the hydrogen refuelling stations. A replica of the refuelling station designed by Zaha Hadid Architects will also be on display, reproduced to a scale of 1:20, as well as a model of Bluegame‘s chase boat set to participate in the 37th America’s Cup, and a hydrogen-fuelled engine by Dumarey Automotive.

On 29 May at 4.00 p.m. in the Sala Modelli conference room of the Arsenal, the round table called “The hydrogen ecosystem for recreational boating” will be held – moderated by Roberto Perocchio, President of Assomarinas – where discussions will be centred around the topic of hydrogen as an energy carrier for the green transition of recreational boating. The event will be attended by: Andrea Minerdo, CEO of NatPower H, Carla Demaria, CEO of Bluegame and Past President of Confindustria Nautica, Luca Santella, Head of product strategy of Sanlorenzo Group, Andrea Porrini, Linde Executive Director Cluster Italy/Algeria/Tunisia.

After the round table, at 5.30/6.00 p.m. down by the wharf, NatPower H will hold an exclusive presentation of a fully hydrogen-powered vessel. The boat, 9,5 meters long and built with the collaboration of Hyrex, a Norwegian company that provides and develops hydrogen propulsion technology, will participate in E-Regata, a unique event organised by Assonautica di Venezia, Associazione Motonautica Venezia, VeniceAgenda2028, Venti di Cultura, and Triumph Group International with the collaboration of Vela and FIM, set to take place on 1 June. The boat will sail across Venice, starting from the Arsenal and passing through San Marco, Rio di Cannaregio, Rialto and Canal Grande.
